Zodiac Recruitment is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Durham. As a key member of our Infrastructure Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing drainage and infrastructure projects for major developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and produce engineering designs for planning applications, detailed designs, and construction of drainage, highways, street works, and public realm projects.
  • Develop and implement drainage and levels strategies in support of planning applications, including flood risk assessment reports.
  • Produce and issue technical drawings for tender and construction purposes, adhering to design standards and quality management procedures.
Requirements:
  • HNC or BEng Civil Engineering degree.
  • Consultancy or private sector development background with experience working on residential development.
  • Experience with drainage designs, strategies, and flood risk assessment for both private and adoptable works.
  • Numerate and software literate, with experience and knowledge of Microdrainage and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in legal, planning, and technical consent, adoption, and contract procedures for drainage design and implementation.
  • Personable and a strong team player with effective organisational and communication skills.
