Job Title: Executive Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Executive Chef to lead our kitchen brigade at The George at Upton, a semi-rural village pub in an affluent area. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality gastropub dishes, managing kitchen operations, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our commitment to quality ingredients and provenance
  • Lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and labor costs
  • Collaborate with our front-of-house team to ensure exceptional customer service
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to inform menu engineering and pricing strategies

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success as a Head Chef or Senior Kitchen Manager in a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of premium food offers, emerging tastes, and concepts in the locality and beyond
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
