About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Commercial Combustion Engineer to join our team at HMP Littlehey, a Category C adult Male prison. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the prison.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who are dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of prisoners, employees, and visitors. Key Responsibilities- Work with commercial catering gas appliances
- Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Work to Gas safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry Standards
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heating systems
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure a safe and secure environment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Two years experience working in a role as a heating engineer, a combustion engineer or equivalent
- Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Familiarity with and ability to work to Gas safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry Standards
- CCN1 - Core commercial gas safety certificate and relevant commercial units
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
