About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at MWH Treatment. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for our water and wastewater schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of mechanical systems for our projects, ensuring they are cost-effective, meet specifications, and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  • Produce and check design deliverables, including specifications, schedules, drawings, and calculations.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to develop site/plant 3D models.
  • Ensure standard designs and practices are utilized wherever possible.
  • Deliver design stage outputs within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Coordinate design outputs across technical disciplines.
  • Maintain competitiveness and provide estimates and feedback for proposals.
  • Establish working relationships with construction staff and supply chain representatives to promote buildability and supply chain efficiency.
  • Work to procedures and processes to ensure the continuing development of the department.

Requirements
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in design management and coordination.
  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and health and safety requirements.
