About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Mental Health Community Mental Health Professional to join our team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing complex case formulations and clinical consultancy informed by the Trauma Recovery Model for the multi-agency network for young people referred to the service.

You will work closely with colleagues within the team, Be Safe, across the Trust and those professions working with young people referred to the service. Your expertise will be essential in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide complex case formulations and clinical consultancy informed by the Trauma Recovery Model for the multi-agency network for young people referred to the service.
  • Co-ordinate the multi-disciplinary formulation meeting for practitioners working with children and young people referred to the service.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues within the team, Be Safe, across the Trust and those professions working with young people referred to the service.
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a degree or diploma qualification in Social Work, Nursing, or a Mental Health profession. You will have significant post-qualification experience in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. You will also have detailed knowledge of current thinking and research in child development and Social Care Frameworks, Youth Justice, and NHS systems.

You will have extensive experience in providing multi-agency consultations for professionals who work with children and young people who are at risk of harm to themselves and others as a result of exploitation and serious violence. You will also have experience of teaching/training on the understanding and responses to attachment and complex trauma to audiences of a wide range of experience and education.

You will have excellent oral and written presentation skills, including providing training to multi-agency professionals. You will also have knowledge of and commitment to equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion as it relates to practice, service development, and the workforce.
