About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Peripatetic Nurse to join our team at Barchester Healthcare. As a Peripatetic Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents in our care homes across the region. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that all residents receive the highest standard of care, from helping new residents settle in to advancing the skills of your team members and developing tailored care plans for the residents' physical and mental needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in our care homes.
  • Develop and implement tailored care plans for residents' physical and mental needs.
  • Help new residents settle in and ensure a smooth transition to care home life.
  • Advance the skills of team members through training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a current NMC registration.
  • Teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of key regulatory frameworks.
  • Successful track record of producing care plans and detailed risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
