Blood Collection Specialist

Position Overview
Under the direct oversight of the Partners and in strict adherence to established Practice protocols, the individual in this role will be tasked with performing venepuncture to collect blood specimens from patients, based solely on direct referrals from healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the collection of blood samples in accordance with established training and procedural guidelines.
- Ensure that all samples are stored in suitable containers and are accurately labeled to confirm patient identity.
- Verify patient identification against the requests from healthcare providers and confirm details with patients whenever feasible.
- Ensure timely dispatch of samples to the designated laboratories.
- Conduct health assessments for patients who have been invited for checks.
- Measure blood pressure readings.
- Provide home visits for patients who are unable to attend the practice for sample collection.
- Exhibit flexibility in working hours to accommodate the absence of team members.

Required Qualifications
- GCSE grades A to C in English and Mathematics.

- Certification in venepuncture is essential.
