Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems for our clients in the Nuclear & Defence sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Develop and verify fit-for-purpose designs and calculations.
- Lead and manage a team of mechanical designers to achieve project goals.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure design coordination.
- Implement UK H&S legislation and design standards.
- Liaise with manufacturing, testing, and commissioning personnel to optimize design.
- Formal qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in concept design of special purpose, mechanical handling, robot automation, crane handling, or assembly lines.
