Job Title: AV Field Service Engineer

At SIM Switchgear, we're a team of specialists, electrical and mechanical engineers and consultants.

We're seeking a highly skilled AV Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe execution of all Service related Projects.

Your primary role will be to provide technical support, advice, and future service offerings to our existing customers. You will also be responsible for generating quotations for Service related work, undertaking pre-mobilisation duties, and safely performing all necessary Service related tasks at SIM & Customer premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and advice to customers
  • Generate quotations for Service related work
  • Undertake pre-mobilisation duties, including risk assessments and method statements
  • Safely perform Service related tasks at SIM & Customer premises
  • Participate in out-of-hours call-out service as required

Requirements:

  • Time served apprentice in an electrical engineering background
  • Educated to a minimum ONC level in an Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience in electrical switchgear, its operation, maintenance and fault finding
  • IT skills including familiarity with Microsoft suite programmes
  • Experience of offshore/marine working
