Job Description

Apple Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Internal Audit Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading internal audit assignments and ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality audit reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead internal audit assignments and ensure the effective delivery of high-quality audit reports.
  • Supervise and direct field auditors during each audit assignment.
  • Develop and lead the execution of risk-based audit programs.
  • Obtain robust information and data from client systems and perform detailed analysis to inform judgements on adequacy of systems of internal control.
  • Draft high-quality, value-adding audit reports for client senior management, directors, and audit committees.
  • Liaise closely with client staff to facilitate and support the audit process.
  • Work closely with audit staff assisting on assignments and effectively communicate expectations, direction, and guidance.
  • Responsible for delivering audit assignments that comply with government internal audit standards and documented internal quality standards.
  • Implement and suggest changes to audit policies and procedures.
  • Contribute towards the development and promotion of the audit service.
  • Day-to-day supervision of audit staff allocated to each audit assignment.
  • Providing on-the-job training to staff.
  • Coaching and development of junior staff.
Requirements
  • Qualified as a Certified Internal Auditor with the Institute of Internal Auditors or part-qualified with a CCAB accountancy body or the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
  • At least two years of internal audit/finance experience or four years of experience as an internal auditor.
  • Hold a current full driving license which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
