Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Low Secure Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service at Ardenleigh Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to young people with complex mental health and neurodevelopmental needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership within the occupational therapy team and service to support wider multi-professional teams in service delivery and development.
  • Design and deliver therapeutic programs in response to service user need, which are evidence-based and outcome-measured.
  • Contribute to meeting professional, service-wide, trust-wide, and regional standards.
  • Participate in annual development reviews and reflective practice opportunities.
  • Work flexibly according to the needs of young people.
  • Engage in service development and provide leadership within the recovery-focused model of care, 'The Encompass Model.'
  • Be responsible for a clinical caseload of five young people and take on the role of care coordinator.

Requirements
  • Diploma or BSc(Hons) in Occupational Therapy.
  • Evidence of registration with the HCPC.
  • Band 5 experience in mental health.
  • Experience in DBT principles and how to embed these into practice.
