Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage our engineering production operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in production management within the engineering industry and possess strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and a keen eye for efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of 40 across welding, laser operations, machining, fitting, and goods in.
- Work closely with the operations manager and general manager to analyze and improve production processes, focusing on efficiency, costs, and quality using lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the production planner and procurement manager to ensure the smooth running of production while controlling stock.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, quality, and employee engagement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in production management within the engineering industry.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills across the whole business.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business results.
