Job Title: Java Software Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Java Software Developer to join our team at Spectrum IT Recruitment. As a Java Software Developer, you will play a key role in the development of our traffic management systems, working on a large new project across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test Java-based software applications
  • Work with our development team to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain microservices for AWS or other cloud environments
  • Ensure code quality and best practices, including writing automated tests

Requirements:

  • Experience with Java Development
  • Experience using Springboot frameworks or similar Java framework
  • Proficiency with MySQL or similar relational databases
  • Experience developing microservices for AWS or other cloud environments
  • An agile mindset and working methodology
  • Comfortable working with tools like GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and Docker

Desirable Skills:

  • Prior experience with Docker, Kafka, and/or similar tools
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
