Job Title: Accounts Manager/Client Accountant

About the Role:

As an Accounts Manager/Client Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients, including complex limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. You will also prepare corporation tax computations and returns, as well as deferred tax calculations and VAT returns preparations. Additionally, you will use various accounting software, such as CCH, and manage your own portfolio of clients, serving as a direct point of contact for all queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare year-end accounts for clients, including complex limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Prepare corporation tax computations and returns, as well as deferred tax calculations and VAT returns preparations.
  • Use various accounting software, such as CCH, to manage client accounts.
  • Manage your own portfolio of clients and serve as a direct point of contact for all queries.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience handling accounts for a wide range of clients in a practice environment, for Partner review.
  • AAT/ACA/ACCA qualification or part-qualified or qualified by experience (QBE).
  • Experience using various accounting software and a strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, good attention to detail, and organisation skills.
  • Ability to review the work of junior staff and provide training to junior staff.
