We are seeking a committed and empathetic Communication Specialist to become part of a local special educational needs (SEN) institution. In this role, you will be tasked with delivering therapeutic services to students facing communication challenges. You will have the chance to operate within a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere, where your efforts will significantly impact the lives of our students.
Employment Type: Full-time (Monday - Friday)
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and develop tailored therapy strategies for students.
- Facilitate therapy sessions, track student progress, and modify plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with educators and guardians to enhance students' communication and language skills.
- Maintain precise documentation and provide regular updates on student development.
- Participate in meetings and assist in the formulation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Stay informed about the latest therapeutic methodologies and research to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
Qualifications:
- Must hold registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Eligibility to work in the UK is mandatory.
- A current DBS check on the update service is required.
- Prior experience with children who have special educational needs is highly preferred.

Additional Information:
All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
