Reporting to the Lead EDS Engineer, you will work closely with a passionate and focused team to ensure that all new JCB product programs meet technical deliverables on time. Your technical expertise, hands-on experience, and project delivery skills will be essential in driving the success of our electrical and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Translate customer requirements into clear and concise deliverables.
  2. Select the correct hardware platforms to meet technical and cost targets.
  3. Develop prototype solutions to validate proof of concept ideas in a fast-paced agile environment.
  4. Create drawing release plans to meet project timing and requirements.
  5. Coordinate with 3rd party vendors to release new components.
  6. Read and interpret electronic schematic diagrams and electrical wiring diagrams.
  7. Ensure design for manufacture and assembly considerations.
  8. Work with industry-standard development techniques, including clipping and harness routing.
  9. Coordinate parts to support builds and ensure latest design revisions are appraised.
  10. Maintain sound record-keeping techniques for designs, revisions, and updates.
  11. Drive re-use of components and approaches.
  12. Support cause and effect analysis, risk assessments, FMEA, 8D, and Ishikawa/fishbone.
About You

We are looking for a qualified individual with a HND/Degree level in an electronic/software-based technology discipline or equivalent experience. You should have experience in Tier 1 or OE sectors, with CAD skills and experience with ECN release and checking. Familiarity with Siemens Teamcentre, electrical design tools, and low-voltage DC vehicle systems is essential.

You should be comfortable working with electronic lab tools, serial tools, and over-the-air diagnostics. A good understanding of design verification processes and the ability to read and digest complex information is also required.
