The role involves a 2-shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, with Fridays included, and the second week will consist of Monday to Wednesday and Thursdays as required. A shift allowance of £3 per hour is provided for those working the evening shift.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Machining Precision: Ensure that all products and components are machined according to technical specifications.
  • Machining Versatility: Apply general machining techniques, including CNC Lathe, CNC grinding, and balancing. Flexibility across various machining disciplines is crucial.
  • Safety and Quality Assurance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures while ensuring that all products are machined in accordance with the provided work instructions.
  • Documentation: Complete job order documentation accurately and log information into the data capture system.
  • Efficiency: Meet production process times as specified in job orders following the training period.
  • Non-Conformance Management: Identify and report any discrepancies promptly, collaborating with Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to understand causes and engage in corrective actions.
  • Tool and Machinery Maintenance: Maintain all tools and machinery, ensuring that measurement equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.

Maintain a clean and organized machine area at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Engineering Background: Demonstrated experience in engineering or machining.
