About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at JSS Search. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of our construction projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Commercial Contract Management: Manage contracts from application to completion, including identifying and valuing client change requests, serving contract notices, and managing client valuations.
  • Sub-Contractor Management: Oversee the tendering process, negotiations, and contract management with sub-contractors, ensuring timely payments and final accounts.
  • Project Reporting: Compile and present monthly CVR reports, commercial risk reports, and cost forecasts to senior staff.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement efficient systems of work within the QS department to achieve commercial excellence.

Requirements:

  • Academic Qualifications: Possess a high level of academic thinking and working.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant QS construction experience, including JCT management.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of construction planning, execution, and commercial management.
  • Personal Qualities: Positive, self-assured, motivated, productive, flexible, and eager to learn.
