Job Title: Road Surfacing Operative

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Road Surfacing Operative to join our team at Tarmac Trading Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for laying coated materials on highways, motorways, and other infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate various pieces of plant equipment associated with road surfacing, including pavers, rollers, and tractors.
  • Work with hot coated materials on site and operate plant equipment as required.
  • Lay coated materials in accordance with specifications and to British Standard tolerances.
  • Maintain high levels of housekeeping and perform daily maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of zero harm and behavioural safety.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in the road surfacing industry, with a focus on highways, motorways, and airfields.
  • Hold a valid CSCS card and have experience operating road surfacing machinery and equipment.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Have a valid UK driving licence and be flexible in your working approach.
