About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at Ocado Group. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading large-scale projects across the globe, including the delivery of our Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) solution into partner warehouses, the introduction of new products, and changes to our existing installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership and accountability for large-scale projects, with a capital value of up to £100m, from initiation to closure.
  • Provide visible and effective leadership, with a focus on knowledge sharing, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Create and contribute to the company culture and Ocado values, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Have direct and indirect people management responsibilities, including day-to-day management of a team and various disciplines, and proactively driving the development of the team.
  • Work closely with Ocado's partner clients throughout the delivery of the project, serving as their key liaison point for project-related topics.
  • Ensure that projects are successfully delivered to scope, budget, schedule, and quality, with a focus on customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
  • Drive the project by responding proactively to breaking issues, competing priorities, and key dependencies, ensuring that the right decisions are taken swiftly.
  • Maintain and monitor progress of the project against Ocado's standard project methodologies, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise.
  • Be the key project decision maker, managing risks and issues within the project, with regular reporting and escalation to senior management when necessary.
  • Inspire confidence across the project with timely, professional communications to all levels of the business.
  • Proactively contribute to the development of best practice for our delivery methodology, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
