About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineering professional to join our team as a Civil Engineering Team Lead. As a key member of our Civil Design Engineering Team, you will be responsible for leading and managing project teams, managing and mentoring engineers and technicians, and preparing client/project proposals to win new work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership: Manage and lead project teams to deliver high-quality results and meet client expectations.
  2. Team Management: Manage and mentor engineers and technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  3. Business Development: Prepare client/project proposals to win new work and grow the business.
  4. Financial Management: Manage project profitability and costs to ensure the business remains financially stable.
  5. Design Management: Manage and coordinate highway and drainage designs to ensure they meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
  6. Specialist Skills: Produce flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, nutrient mitigation, and pre-planning advice.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within a multi-disciplinary organization.
  2. Professional Qualifications: Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) or equivalent.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, competent with Infodrainage/Microdrainage, and experience in drainage and minor roadway design.
  4. Knowledge: Knowledge of s38, s278 (Highways Act) and s104, s106, and s185 (Water Industry Act) agreements.
