An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Nurse Manager at Woodland View.

Key Responsibilities:

Ward 6 is a male Low Secure unit accommodating eight individuals who are under the Mental Health (Scotland) (Care and Treatment) Act 2003 and/or the Criminal Procedures Act CPA 1995. These individuals:

  • Have been assessed as needing hospital admission for evaluation or treatment without the necessity for intensive care.
  • Typically have undergone legal or court proceedings, necessitating their transfer from a custodial environment or secure hospital.
  • Have been identified as requiring rehabilitation in a low secure setting and are capable of engaging in such a program.

In collaboration with the patient, Ward 6 provides comprehensive, holistic, and interdisciplinary treatment and care, supported by formal risk assessments. The care and treatment provided will be tailored to the individual, with the duration of stay determined by clinical needs and risk assessments.

As a member of the Multi-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will foster effective relationships with various key professionals and agencies to ensure the delivery of a high-quality forensic mental health service.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Applicants must possess a first-level nursing qualification and current registration with the NMC, along with evidence of ongoing professional development.

Experience in an inpatient setting and in a supervisory nursing role is essential.

Working Hours:

37 hours per week

Contract Type:

This position is a fixed-term/secondment for a duration of 9 months.
