Job Summary

This role seeks a seasoned Financial Operations Manager who will thrive in the FMCG sector, providing critical support to the Accounting & Finance team in a large-scale operation. With 2-3 direct reports, you will be streamlining processes and providing overall support to the wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
    • Assign tasks and set performance goals for team members.
    • Ensure that the team meets deadlines and maintains accuracy in processing.
  • Financial Operations:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the AP department, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, and vendor reconciliation.
    • Ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Review and approve payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
    • Manage and resolve escalated issues related to invoice discrepancies, payment disputes, and vendor queries.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure timely communication regarding payment schedules and discrepancies.
    • Negotiate payment terms and manage vendor contracts where applicable.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date vendor records are maintained.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in a similar role, with experience in team leadership and financial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Superb analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
