Unlock the Power of Cloud Computing

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join our team in Bristol, London, or Manchester. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a key role in helping our clients navigate the complex world of cloud computing and design and implement modern, agile cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver cloud strategy and operating models that align to and underpin business, technology, and/or digital strategies
  • Develop business cases for investment in cloud
  • Select the right products and services for a solution
  • Architect and deliver on the platform
  • Understand leading cloud technologies and key cloud challenges
  • Provide authoritative points of view on how cloud influences and enables emerging technology trends
Requirements:
  • Strong ability to provide thought-through, clearly articulated, pragmatic solutions and recommendations to complex business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet project deadlines, and drive results
  • Ability to communicate complex/technical issues to non-technical audiences
  • Management of teams and deliverables
  • Vendor/product assessment and selection
  • Assessment of applications for technical suitability for migration to Cloud
Desirable Skills:
  • Cloud technologies and services (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform/OCI)
  • Container technologies (e.g. Docker, Rocket) and their associated orchestration engines (Kubernetes/OpenShift/Rancher/Swarm)
  • Infrastructure as code development (Terraform/AWS CloudFormation/ARM/GCP CDM)
  • Running and using Cloud automation tooling including Continuous Integration & Deployment
  • DevOps philosophies and toolchains such as continuous integration and delivery
  • Linux and windows system implementation and management using automation frameworks such as Ansible/Salt Stack/Puppet/PowerShell etc.
  • Application deployment and testing toolchains such as Jenkins/SVN/GitHub
  • Knowledge of security and performance considerations and approaches for digital systems, and exposure to security and performance testing process
  • Experience helping clients define technical and non-functional requirements
  • Cloud environment design and implementation
