Job Summary:

We are seeking a newly qualified Criminal Defense Lawyer to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, providing legal advice and representation to clients in a variety of criminal matters. The candidate will work across the police station, Magistrates Court, and Crown Court, ensuring our clients receive the highest standards of legal representation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage caseload from inception to conclusion, including but not limited to theft, assault, drug offenses, and driving offenses.
  • Represent clients in the Magistrates Court and Crown Court, preparing and presenting cases effectively.
  • Maintain excellent client care standards, ensuring clear communication and a high level of support throughout the legal process.
  • Prepare and manage all necessary legal documents, including case files, statements, and court applications.
  • Utilize IT systems and legal software to manage case files. Our firm uses 'Leap' case management system. Previous experience using Leap is advantageous, however, full training will be provided if you are not already familiar with the system.
