PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The role involves overseeing the acquisition and procurement of both direct and indirect materials, while determining the appropriate quantities and scheduling of deliveries to align with production timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the procurement and sourcing of materials, ensuring timely delivery to meet production schedules.

  • Evaluating technical specifications to identify suitable materials and alternatives.
  • Engaging in price negotiations and contract discussions to optimize cost savings and fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Managing MRP recommendations and accurately forecasting stock needs to accommodate customer demands.
  • Ensuring the integrity of Master Data for pricing, lead times, and supplier contact details to support budgetary goals.
  • Providing strategic pricing insights to enhance competitive positioning in response to customer inquiries.
  • Identifying and managing reliable suppliers to ensure adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards.
  • Participating in supplier meetings to drive performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining a professional and organized approach to customer communications, fostering strong relationships.
  • Exhibiting leadership qualities and professional conduct in accordance with company policies.
  • Reporting on material-related issues and implementing necessary measures.
Contributions to the Team:
- * Identifying critical processes and success factors in material management.

  • Implementing 5S and other continuous improvement strategies.
  • Overseeing the Performance Measurement Process (PMP) and training documentation.
  • Collaborating with various departments to resolve issues and engage in cross-functional projects.
  • Undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Standard working hours: Monday to Thursday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday 7:45 AM – 1:00 PM.
