Atkinson Moss is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Administrator to join their team on a permanent and full-time basis.
Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage the day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers. The successful candidate will have previous experience in export and import shipping administration and logistics planning, as well as knowledge of customer tariffs and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Transport planning to maximize space and reduce logistical costs
- Receive and process orders within 48 hours of receipt
- Respond to customer queries regarding pricing, delivery information, order confirmations, and schedules
- Provide assistance with sales reporting and production scheduling
- Coordinate Order documentation for export and import shipments
- Communicate with shippers, customers, border control, suppliers, internal departments, and HMRC
- Generate pick tickets to the warehouse within required timescales
- Process and supply dispatch documentation within the relevant timescales
- Maintain reports and clearance documents
- Resolve or escalate any issues to ensure the expected delivery date is met
- Review invoices to ensure accuracy
- Health and Safety awareness following all legal and company procedures
- Previous experience of working within export and import shipping administration and logistics planning
- Previous experience of working within manufacturing
- Knowledge of customer tariffs and regulations
- Excellent customer service
- IT literate in MS Office and MRP type systems
- Excellent internal and external communications
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work within a fast-paced environment
- Health and Safety Awareness
This is a full-time and permanent position with free parking and offering a salary up to £28,000 dependant on experience.
