Job Title: Deputy Manager - Children and Young People

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Horizon Care and Education. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our residential care services for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the Manager's support, ensuring the home aligns with our values and standards in their absence.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the team, aiding in their professional development and individual growth.
  • Oversee colleague management, including appraisals, supervision, and training adherence.
  • Manage health and safety protocols, risk assessments, and ensure all necessary training is completed.
Requirements:
  • Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce qualification.
  • At least 1 year's experience of Senior Support Work in a Children's Residential setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
