We are seeking a skilled Class 1 Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to retail stores and collecting containers from ports for delivery to distribution centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver goods to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers.
  • Collect multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution center.
  • Plan routes on a day-to-day basis.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks on company phone.
  • Keep in regular contact with transport team for updates on progress and manage customer expectations.
  • Attend regular training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Work to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
