Position Overview
You will become an integral part of a dynamic team, reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager. This role requires a hands-on approach, and prior experience in inventory procurement is essential.

Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee overall inventory management, including stocking levels, turnover rates, and budget allocation by product category.
2. Assist in production planning discussions, addressing and resolving supply chain challenges.
3. Collaborate closely with suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews to ensure timely deliveries.
4. Analyze data to enhance delivery efficiency, performance metrics, and operational processes.
5. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to on-time delivery.
6. Manage logistics partners and freight forwarding services, along with associated costs.
7. Implement purchasing strategies, identifying areas for operational improvement.
8. Report purchasing performance metrics to senior management and directors.
9. Oversee daily operations of a busy supply chain team.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in inventory procurement, with a focus on historical data analysis and collaboration with sales teams.
- A proactive, diligent, and results-driven mindset, coupled with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work collaboratively across various functions, including Engineering, Quality, and Sales, to achieve objectives.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with MRP or ERP systems, preferably SAGE.
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, and interrogation, ideally using MS Office, ODBC, or SQL.
- A track record of identifying and implementing process enhancements.
- A valid passport and driver's license, as some travel may be necessary.
