Job Title: Upper School Science Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Science Teacher to join our Upper School team at York Steiner School. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students aged 14-16, covering a range of subjects including Maths, Science, and Crossfields Diploma.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and teach AQA GCSE Maths Foundation/Higher, including revision sessions and techniques ahead of examinations
  • Develop confidence in maths through a variety of teaching techniques
  • Set regular homework to aid student learning
  • Help students achieve their full potential in Foundation or Higher maths
  • Undertake appropriate preparation through knowledge of the GCSE syllabus, study/learning techniques to ensure high quality delivery which meets the full curriculum requirements

What We Offer:
  • 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) in the first year, 31 days in the second year before rising to 33 days after 3 years (pro-rata)
  • Permanent, term-time only position
  • Salary range: £21,000 - £30,000 FTE - Actual Salary £4,200 - £6,000 depending on qualifications and experience
