Senior Buyer Role

Carbon 60, a leading Mechanical and Electrical contracting business, is seeking a Senior Buyer to support regional purchasing activities and encourage good practice behaviour in line with company policies and procedures.

This is an ongoing contract until March 2025, based from any UK location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with operations teams to understand weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual bid, purchase, procurement and supplier requirements.
  • Develop and deliver a regional purchasing workbook containing business agreed key performance indicators.
  • Manage contractual risk and ensure local supply chain solutions are robust and fit for purpose.
  • Support the delivery of category management and business-wide sourcing activities where required.
  • Ensure all activities are compliant with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Buyer in Procurement in a similar industry.
  • A solid understanding of the financial aspects and implications of operational requirements and procurement activities.
  • Awareness of the commercial impact of decisions and their implications on the procurement process.
  • A reasonable understanding, knowledge and experience of the processes relating to procurement strategy.
