As part of our commitment to improving work-life balance, NHS Scotland is transitioning to a reduced full-time working week of 37 hours, effective from April 2024, without a corresponding decrease in salary. This change will also apply proportionately to part-time staff. While this adjustment is forthcoming, certain service areas may require temporary adherence to the previous schedule, necessitating up to an additional 30 minutes of work per week until new rosters are established.

This position is a fixed-term contract for a duration of 12 months.

To be eligible for this role, candidates must possess a valid PIN with the NMC.UK. Please note that applications from newly qualified nurses or midwives will not be considered.

The role involves a shift pattern that includes weekdays, weekends, nights, and on-call duties. (Salary is calculated on a pro-rata basis for part-time hours.)

Due to the expansion of our Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) oncological services, we are seeking experienced Band 5 Registered Nurses or Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) for a one-year fixed-term contract. Opportunities are available for both scrub and anaesthetic roles, with options for full-time and part-time employment. You will engage with a diverse surgical caseload, encompassing a wide range of procedures in Neurosurgery, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, and Neuro-interventional Radiology, enhancing your skills and experience within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

As a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will independently assess patient care needs, develop tailored care programs, and implement and evaluate these programs, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care during the perioperative phase.
