Fuel Systems Engineer

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of mechanical design principles.
    Experience in designing fuel management systems is a plus.
    A minimum of three years of relevant engineering experience along with a bachelor's degree in engineering is essential.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze advancements, industry standards for fuel management, regulatory requirements, and other relevant data.
  • Develop components that align with client specifications for quality, delivery timelines, and budget constraints, including fuel storage systems, internal support structures, containment systems, and storage solutions.
  • Design for efficient manufacturing and on-site assembly, ensuring a swift construction process to meet client project timelines.
  • Generate systems with specifications, layouts, and features that fulfill client expectations regarding cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Explore multiple design alternatives, perform comparative analyses, and select the optimal solution.
  • Complete initial calculations necessary for design evaluation.
  • Participate in specialized assessments including thermal, structural, criticality, and shielding evaluations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to refine designs.
    Work alongside other teams in mechanical handling, electrical systems, instrumentation, and fluid dynamics to enhance design outcomes.
  • Define design specifications in partnership with the Computer Aided Design team.
  • Establish and manage system-level requirements.
  • Draft component specifications, design layouts, and mechanical process diagrams.
  • Prepare documentation, including submissions to regulatory authorities.
  • Present findings at technical evaluations and provide necessary documentation for project review stages.
