Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive QHSE Manager to join our client's established and professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality performance across all aspects of the business, with a focus on quality management and health and safety management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and implement methods to reduce internal and external rejects
  • Monitor and analyse existing procedures and implement improvements
  • Ensure adherence to all company procedures and policies
  • Provide monthly quality figures and recommendations to the management team
  • Maintain cost of quality figures for display on the notice boards
  • Ensure appropriate safety audit procedures are maintained and introduce new audit regimes as required
  • Investigate gauging to check conformity to standards and implement improvements as required
  • Maintain compliance to ISO 9000 and stay up-to-date with updates and requirements
  • Introduce methods to speed up QA checks while maintaining improved quality performances
  • Act as the main point of contact with customers and suppliers to ensure quality and H&S related issues are addressed

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing combined Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management role. They will be a skilled communicator at all levels, ensuring the workforce adheres to relevant company and industry-wide regulations. Demonstrable experience gained within a high-volume plastic injection moulding, plastic processing or plastic packaging environment will be distinctly advantageous.

Other Responsibilities:

The QHSE Manager will also be responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of trained First Aiders to allow the company to operate legally and ensuring training in all relevant areas is maintained.
