Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead a team of educators and provide guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare and education.
  • Child Development: Observe and record the progress of children, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to support their development.
  • Staff Development: Provide training and support to staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality childcare and education.
  • Room Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the room, including the maintenance of a safe and healthy environment, and the implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with parents, carers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on children's progress and involving them in decision-making processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all aspects of the nursery's operations meet the highest standards, including the maintenance of accurate records and the implementation of quality assurance procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NVQ level 3 or above in childcare or a related field.
