We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education to students with complex needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement imaginative and personalized lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs and capabilities of students with complex requirements.
- Employ effective teaching methodologies, such as visual aids, sensory exercises, and adaptive technologies, to enrich the learning journey.
- Cultivate a nurturing and supportive classroom ambiance that fosters emotional well-being and self-assurance in every student.
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and other professionals to ensure a well-rounded approach to student development and progress.
- Devise personalized learning plans (EHCPs) and regularly monitor student advancement, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Primary Education.
- Demonstrated experience working with students with complex needs.
- Profound comprehension of various complex needs, including ASC, sensory processing disorders, communication challenges, and learning disabilities.
- Flexibility and patience to address the individual needs of each student and tailor a personalized learning path.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external entities.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) for working with children.
