We are seeking an experienced surveyor to join our dynamic Business Rates Team in London. As a senior/associate level rating surveyor, you will be assigned a patch across West London, Surrey, South Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Sussex, or Kent.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections and measurements of client properties.
- Draft floor plans using our CAD program.
- Manage client cases, formulate appeals, and prepare assessment reports.
- Analyse and gather evidence for business rates assessment appeals.
- Keep company records and databases updated.
- Communicate with clients, both written and verbally.
- Deliver excellent service to clients, ensuring a strong and positive working relationship.
- Achieve team KPIs and contribute to the overall success of the wider team and Altus Group.
- Minimum of 2 years rating experience.
- University degree - A Real Estate or property-related degree would be beneficial, but non-cognate degrees or equivalent experience will be considered.
- Full driving license, with access to own car.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
- A strong commercial awareness.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent time management.
- Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and CRM systems.
