Site Services Operator

About the Role
The Site Services Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and grounds maintenance at our Dudley facility. As a key member of our site services team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all equipment, cleaning chemicals, and waste are handled safely and in accordance with site safe systems of work.
- Undertake daily, weekly, and periodic tasks in line with the site services department work schedule.
- Ensure that signs are used at appropriate times in line with health and safety requirements.
- Keep the cleaning stores tidy and ensure equipment is stored safely at all times.
- Attend training courses and meetings as necessary to maintain standards and assist in carrying out the job role efficiently.
- Provide cover in other areas in times of sickness and holidays.
- Ensure all work equipment is kept clean and maintained in a safe working order, reporting any defects to the line manager.
Requirements
- Driving licence is preferred but not essential.
- Must be able to safely use a range of basic tools and machinery.
- Have a thorough understanding of hygiene and cleaning skills.
- Able to work as a lone worker anywhere on site as well as working as part of a team.
- Ability to identify and apply health and safety requirements, particularly the safe use of chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and to communicate effectively with others.
