Senior Data Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Avios Group (AGL) Limited. As a key member of our data quality team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of our data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data quality standards, processes, and best practices to maintain high data quality throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Design and execute comprehensive data validation strategies, including data profiling, cleansing, and transformation, to identify and rectify data quality issues.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and audits to ensure adherence to standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and wider business stakeholders, to establish data quality criteria and provide guidance and training on data quality best practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues, identifying underlying causes and proposing effective solutions.
  • Assist product teams in developing and executing test plans, cases, and scripts to validate data transformation and integration processes.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Data Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role.
  • A strong understanding of data quality concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data querying for data validation and testing purposes.
  • Familiarity with data integration, ETL processes, and data governance frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, relational databases, and data modelling concepts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify data quality issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex data quality concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
