Position: Field Support Engineer - DCS & Safety Systems

Salary: £35-40k + Car Allowance + Offshore Allowance + Overtime

Location: North West


Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate project design including SIL classification, detailed design, project planning, and configuration of safety systems.
  • Provide technical specifications to procurement and oversee supplier activities.
  • Conduct internal testing and lead Factory Acceptance Tests, transitioning to site installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Tests.
  • Monitor and control the quality of work throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Formalize project closures effectively.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in a similar capacity within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or Industrial Automation sectors.
  • Minimum HNC qualification in an engineering or process-related discipline.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license.
  • A motivated and adaptable individual willing to work at various locations.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional demeanor, capable of conveying and receiving information effectively.
  • Offshore certifications are preferred, though comprehensive training will be provided.
  • 1-2 years of experience in programming automated control systems is desirable.
  • Experience with DCS software such as Emerson, Yokogawa, Honeywell, ABB, Valmet, Rockwell, or Siemens is advantageous, but candidates with PLC and/or SCADA experience who are eager to focus on DCS & safety systems are also encouraged to apply.

This role offers a balanced work-life environment, combining remote work with office responsibilities. There may be occasional travel to customer sites across various regions as necessary.
