Maintenance Manager Job Description

Service Care Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team in Southampton. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality maintenance service that meets the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a maintenance strategy that aligns with our business objectives and meets the needs of our clients.
  • Manage a team of multi-trade technicians to ensure efficient and effective delivery of maintenance services.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Capital Assets Team and Housing Management Team, to identify and deliver cost-effective solutions to improve the condition of our housing stock.
  • Liaise with sectional surveying and procurement functions to ensure a common approach to delivering maintenance services.
  • Oversee the void repair process from start to finish, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within budget.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a local authority or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of technicians.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and duties.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures, with the ability to ensure compliance in all aspects of maintenance work.
