Position Summary
The primary objective of the 3PL Operations Manager role is to meet the service and profitability goals of the depot, aligning with the annual financial plan.
This position requires a proactive approach, ensuring that service standards are consistently met while actively engaging with customers to surpass their expectations.
As the Logistics General Manager, you will be responsible for managing risks effectively by adhering to all company policies, including Health and Safety regulations, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Your role will involve providing accurate input for budgeting and forecasting depot performance, while controlling expenses in accordance with the size of the depot.
You will oversee and mentor your team, fostering open communication, encouraging feedback, and promoting innovative ideas and initiatives.
This role entails collaborating with various clients in a 3PL environment and partnering with Pallet Networks and Parcel operators to fulfill eCommerce and business-to-business orders.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a 3PL Operations Manager, demonstrating a successful track record in managing a 3PL operation with full accountability for service and costs.
Possessing strong numerical, verbal, and written communication skills, you will have at least an 'A' level education or equivalent qualifications.
With a confident and articulate demeanor, you will earn respect through your knowledge, experience, and personal style, exhibiting a strong commitment to service and customer satisfaction.
Thriving in high-pressure environments, you will be adept at juggling multiple priorities and meeting critical deadlines and objectives.
Your commercial awareness will enable you to effectively engage with the 100+ customers whose inventory is stored in our clients' warehouses.
Your coaching and supportive leadership style, combined with a focus on driving performance to meet objectives, will showcase your previous success in leading operational teams.
