Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Substation Automation Tendering Specialist to join our Grid Automation Europe team within Hitachi Energy. As a key member of our tendering team, you will be responsible for leading tenders from initial request to contract closing and handover to operations. Your expertise will be crucial in creating and completing bids, estimations, and quotations that meet customer specifications and achieve market competitiveness, high quality, and profitable business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute tenders that are commercially, legally, and technically optimized, ensuring high-quality offers that meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain management to solicit quotations from subcontractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Prepare tender documents and reports for internal risk reviews and tender submission approvals, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Excellent technical understanding of substation automation, control, and protection solutions.
  • Good knowledge of the grid automation market and its trends.
  • Previous professional experience and a strong track record in a similar business area.
  • Strong understanding and previous experience of tendering and commercial processes would be an advantage.
  • Language skills: Fluency in the local language of the desired job location plus a good level of English is required.
  • Willingness to travel and attend customer meetings, up to 10%.
