About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. This is a substantive, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to develop skills and expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy services to patients in all service areas
  • Acquire and demonstrate knowledge of relevant pathologies, conditions, and normal values related to musculoskeletal physiotherapy
  • Be flexible in organizing your caseload and respond to predictable and unpredictable service needs throughout the day
  • Undertake the measurement and evaluation of your own work and current practice through the use of projects, audit, or outcome measures

As a Band 6 Physiotherapist, you will be part of a large team of therapists, including rotational physiotherapists, specialist hand therapy occupational therapists, and therapy assistants and technicians. Person Specification
  • Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification
  • State registration with the Health Professions Council
  • Able to demonstrate specialist learning from previous physiotherapy rotations, formal post-graduate level learning, and informal CPD
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and relevant special interest groups
Experience
  • Recent substantial and sustained experience in relevant physiotherapy specialities and clinical settings
  • Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team
  • Participation in service development projects and clinical education of staff, students, or assistants
  • Experience of supervision of students or physiotherapy assistants and development of basic supervision skills
Skills and Knowledge
  • Able to apply a range and depth of knowledge to musculoskeletal physiotherapy
  • Able to use knowledge of a range of treatment approaches in musculoskeletal physiotherapy
  • Able to carry out manual therapy techniques and therapeutic handling, requiring skilful and strenuous physical effort during the working day
