Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering team at Baker Perkins, a technology brand of Coperion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and issuing food process equipment to meet specific customer contract requirements and to support equipment development projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical equipment and systems to meet customer specifications, internal standards, and quality procedures.
- Generate all associated engineering drawings, specifications, and part lists for manufacturing and assembly purposes.
- Support manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commission to resolve any design issues and remain the technical responsible throughout the projects.
- Implement continuous design improvements for our equipment and design, test, and develop new equipment.
- Provide technical support to sales, manufacturing, assembly, installation, commission, and customer services.
Requirements:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng or above) or equivalent.
- Experience designing original capital equipment such as Food & Beverage, O&G, Pharmaceuticals.
- Fluent in the use of 3D CAD packages and experience of PLM Software.
- Experience of preparing and checking mechanical calculations.
- Solution-driven and customer-oriented sensibility.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize accordingly.
- Experience working to machinery standards and European Directives.
- Strong ability to both self-lead and work effectively within a team.
