Job Title: Cyber Security Senior Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Senior Analyst to join our team at SitePoint Pty. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for leading the implementation, development, and execution of Security Operations, protecting our users, infrastructure, and data from a range of threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor networks and systems for security threats and detect potential vulnerabilities.
  2. Analyse and assess alarms, and report on threats, intrusion attempts, and false alarms.
  3. Take the lead in providing a focal point for security-related activities, including compliance with policies and standards, vulnerability management, monitoring and reporting, risk and threat assessment, incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
  4. Support plans to develop and improve Cyber Security and compliance with ISO27001, GDPR, and other standards and regulations.
  5. Design and implement new security systems or upgrade existing ones.
  6. Use advanced analytic tools to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities.
  7. Identify potential weaknesses and implement measures to mitigate them.
  8. Investigate security alerts and provide incident response.
  9. Liaise with stakeholders on cyber security issues and provide future recommendations.
  10. Generate reports for technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications: Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in Cyber Security or Network and System Administration.

Specific Knowledge: Cyber security essentials, ISO 27001/22301, Microsoft 365/Azure.

Specific Skills: Network and application firewalls, Host intrusion prevention and anti-virus, Malware sandboxing reports, Security tooling (Windows & Cloud environment), XDR, EDR, email & remote access security, Content filtering (web/email), Cloud Security (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), Anomaly detection, O365, Azure, MS Intune, Identity Management, Cyber-attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies, Mitre ATT&CK and NIST frameworks.

Demonstrated Behaviours: Business sense, Communicate Up, Down, and Across All Levels of an Organisation, Pragmatic and flexible approach, Problem-Solver, Excellent interpersonal skills, Creativity.

Experience: 5 years in IT Security or IT; 4 years in SOC Analyst, Cyber Threat Hunter, Investigations, Analysis, or Campaign Tracking.
