Job Summary

Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a dedicated and experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of Clinical Negligence cases, providing technical expertise and guidance to team members, and ensuring compliance with file management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Department Director and take a professional, proactive approach to client care.
  • Manage a caseload of Clinical Negligence cases, including dealing with a range of cases that have been issued at court, and have an excellent understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and protocols.
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases, as well as deal with correspondence and maintain accurate time costing procedures.
  • Implement recommendations made by the supervisor following monthly file reviews and ensure compliance with file management.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury.
  • A clean, valid Practicing Certificate at the time of applying.
  • A committed team player with the ability to adapt to new challenges.
  • Previous proven supervisory experience and working to key performance indicators is an advantage.
  • Excellent networking and communication skills, with the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to use own initiative and sound judgment.
  • Working knowledge of Clinical Negligence work and the ability to service privately funded cases.
  • Extensive experience in dealing with Clinical Negligence related work.
  • Experience in own advocacy is an advantage.
  • Excellent IT Skills, familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.
