As a Structural Engineer at Ridge & Partners LLP, you will be responsible for producing structural engineering work packages from initial concept through to completion. This will involve creating calculations packages for Building Control submission, undertaking survey inspections, and producing written reports in good English on findings, set out in a logical manner with appropriate recommendations.

You will work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects, representing the company at external meetings with clients, contractors, and fellow professionals. Your primary goal will be to deliver work to a fee and to timescales agreed, while preparing client/project proposals and agreeing design philosophy/design fundamentals.

To be considered for this role, you must possess/be able to evidence:

  • A good degree in structural engineering.
  • Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers.
  • Indepth design office experience that you can describe at interview.
  • A good understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in the use of design software such as Tekla, Tedds, SCIA, and Masterseries.
  • Familiarity with drawing packages, including Revit and AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent communication skills, in both written and spoken English.
  • A current UK driving licence.
