Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

QinetiQ is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership on aerospace projects, with a focus on supporting the RAF Coningsby site on the Battle of Britain Memorial Flights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage project and program engineering activities, ensuring delivery of complex integrated outputs.
  • Collaborate with project managers and resource management to assign technical work tasks to suitably qualified personnel.
  • Ensure effective capture and analysis of customer requirements to generate system requirements.
  • Mentor other system engineers and assure the quality of engineering outputs.
  • Deliver integrated engineering outputs that meet business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and production of technical delivery plans.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in military and/or civil air platforms and the air vehicle lifecycle.
  • Experience applying system engineering toolsets and paradigms to technical project delivery.
  • Ability to make sound judgments on integrated engineering solutions and knowledge of the military and civil aerospace industry.
  • Excellent people leadership and communications skills.
